Cast Biographies







Susana Crofton (Edna Miles)
Susana Crofton has worked as an actor and comedienne for most of her adult life. Her community theater experience in New York City and Orlando, Florida includes leading roles in a wide range of plays from Neil Simon to Shakespeare.

In 1999 Crofton wrote and performed a one-woman play called Women's Voices. She presented that successful show in various local venues as well as private events and benefits. She has also expressed her comedic talent as a standup comedienne in local clubs.

Light Sensitive is her third play at the Bodega Theatre Company. "I feel honored and delighted to be working with this fine supporting cast and director," says Crofton.

Dan Vanek (Tom Hanratty)
Dan Vanek has been involved with the Bodega Theatre Company from nearly its inception. Show credits include Silva (The Whistle Blower), Artie (Remain Seated), Sanitarian (A Day at the County) and Vito in last year's hit comedy It Had to Be You.

Vanek has resided in Sebastopol for 16 years and is a licensed California real estate broker and general contractor.

Richard A. Heller (Lou D'Marco)
Richard Heller is a writer, teacher, producer and director. “I've been involved in the creation of community theater since before time began,”' says Heller. Light Sensitive is Heller's first production with the Bodega Theatre Company. His other favorite roles include Montague, Romeo's father, and Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey, a man who lived with an imaginary rabbit.

Heller is currently serving as artistic director of the Raven Players in Healdsburg where he recently appeared as Mr. DePinna in the classic comedy You Can't Take It with You.

Richard Track (director)
Richard Track has worked in theater since 1973. He founded The Bodega Theatre Company in 1990 with Lee Rhoads, Priscilla Fields and Janey Hirsch. Track acted with the Emeryville Shakespeare Company, the Moving Men Theatre Company, Lucky Knuckles Puppet Theatre and the Bodega Theatre Company. He has directed since the early 1980s when not playing basketball in Oakland.
